Burnaby, British Columbia -- Infowave Software, Inc. (TSE:IW), a leading provider of wireless solutions for mobile access to Microsoft Exchange, Intranet and Internet information from portable devices has joined the Phone.com(tm) (Nasdaq:PHCM) Alliances and Developer Programs. Infowave customers can already access corporate information from a wide range of mobile devices and now will have added access from WAP- (Wireless Application Protocol) enabled wireless phones.

"Infowave already delivers compelling and robust wireless solutions to corporations and we are delighted to see them bringing that enterprise expertise to Phone.com-enabled wireless phones." says Phone.com's Director of Developer Marketing Kathy Simpson. "The corporate market has very specific wireless application needs and we are happy to be working with Infowave, a company who focuses on this market."

"The Phone.com browser links people to their most important information such as email, calendar, contacts and other Intranet information. We see the corporate market as a perfect fit for WAP solutions," says Simpson. According to Strategy Analytics, there will be 525 million WAP handsets shipped in the US and Europe between 1999 and 2003.
