"The U.S. carrier already held a minority stake in E-Plus.
"BellSouth and KPN will share control of E-Plus, which is estimated to have 3.5 million customers by year's end and a 20 percent share of its market. Based in Dusseldorf, E-Plus has 3,000 employees and operates a nationwide network comprising roughly 7,000 base stations.
