Mobile Computer to be developed by Siemens and Casio

[Siemens and Casio plan to show a pocket Internet PC at Cebit 2000 in Hannover, according to this report.]

English translation by WAPsight -- Siemens and Casio plan to cooperate on the development of a Mobiletelephone Computer with Internet access. As announced by the two firms, the pocket sized PC should be ready for demonstration at the Computer Show Cebit 2000 in Hannover. The product is to offer digital music, video, Internet access, gsm wireless phone, and email services. Coming later is a CDMA version. Prototype planed for February.

Siemens and the Japanese Computer manufacturer, Casio, expect a market volume of 15 million units with Internet access in total by the year 2003 and expect to obtain a "significant portion".
