Winning The US Cellular War Posted: 27-Dec-1999 [Source: Newsbytes] [Report says Motorola and Nokia are now the top two in the US cellular market with Nokia threatening leadership in the "power user" segment.] By Sylvia Dennis -- "A report out today says that Motorola [NYSE:MOT] and Nokia [NYSE:NOKA] have secured the number one and two sales slots, respectively, in the US cellular marketplace.

"The study, entitled "US Handset Market Perceptions," says that Ericsson and Samsung are favorites for the third sales slot.
"David Kerr, vice president of wireless services with Strategy Analytics, said that Nokia has scored well in terms of style with American users, but the firm has also done a remarkable job of earning a reputation for value for money.
