] Dublin -- "Irish banking software company, International Financial Systems (IFS), which recently announced a 14% investment by Deutsche Bank and Intel, is expanding its New York operations as part of a global expansion program to meet the growing demand for the company's suite of risk management applications. IFS announced that it is to almost double employment over the next nine months. IFS (www.ifs.ie), is currently seeking approximately 40 new people for its Dublin and New York offices and aims to increase jobs to more than 100 by the second quarter of next year. IFS currently employs 68 worldwide, a significant increase from 10 people at the start of 1998.
"IFS has recently opened offices in Singapore, New York, London, Manila and Sydney in addition to enlarging its Dublin headquarters.
"The Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern TD recently visited the IFS office in New York to mark the company's expansion along with Enterprise Ireland Director for the Americas, Mr John Corrigan. IFS also announced a new Head of North American Operations, Mr Peter Vitale, who joins from Bank Julius Baer where he was responsible for institutional sales and collateral management.
