[HiddenMind and Glenayre to offer two-way instant messaging and advanced interactive wireless messaging products to US businesses and consumers.]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- "HiddenMind Technology, Inc. leading developer of wireless data applications software and Glenayre Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: GEMS), the world's leading provider of two-way messaging devices, paging infrastructure, and one of the premier providers of messaging/services solutions, today announced an agreement to offer two-way instant messaging and advanced interactive wireless messaging products to businesses and consumers. Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will link HiddenMind's innovative wireless communications platform, HiddenMessenger(TM), and other advanced HiddenMind applications, with the full complement of Solutions for an @ctive World now being offered and developed by Glenayre.

"The advanced software applications will be appropriate for use by workers in a wide range of industries, such as traders, salespeople, medical workers, insurance adjusters and service professionals.

"In light of the recent Motorola agreement, we are very excited about what our agreement with HiddenMind will mean for users of two-way interactive consumer devices," said Lee Ellison, senior vice president of business development of Glenayre. "Users take full advantage of their two-way messaging devices in their day-to-day business and personal activities, so being combined with HiddenMind's industry-leading wireless data platform will enable sophisticated messaging and workflow processing applications to improve the efficiencies within user groups."

"With three nationwide networks now covering 90% of the nationwide footprint, ReFLEX(TM) is considered the industry standard for two-way data. In addition to implementing basic two-way instant messaging for consumer and business use, the new products will allow mobile users to interact with instant information, such as pricing, availability and scheduling of products and services.

"When users are able to trigger meaningful activity from their wireless devices through messages and other real-time data, the true power of wireless data will be revealed," said Ken Tyra, president and CEO of HiddenMind. "The use of our advanced wireless software on the three ReFLEX networks enables HiddenMind and Glenayre to lead the growth of a new wireless data market that will provide customers with exceptionally useful applications."

"HiddenMind is a developer of innovative wireless data applications software that connects people, devices, messaging, activities and the Internet. During the past 5 years, HiddenMind has provided software products and services to such blue-chip firms as Northern Telecom, BellSouth, IBM, AT&T, Dow Jones, Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch. In the last several years, the Company has focused on the development of advanced tools for multi-platform device interoperability in client-server, web-enabled and wireless environments. These activities led to the introduction this year of HiddenLogic (patent pending), a sophisticated wireless data communications routing/data management software applications development framework that integrates wired and wireless data messaging with other software processes. HiddenMind has developed applications, including HiddenMessenger (for general consumer and business communications) and HiddenAssistant(TM) (for wireless workflow communications), that make practical use of today's available low bandwidth opportunities. These applications provide device interoperability among pagers, PDAs, laptops, cell phones and other information appliances, across all wireless networks, and go far beyond the basic concepts of wireless e-mail, wireless instant messaging, Web surfing on the phone or delivering Web content to wireless devices.

"HiddenMind has entered into strategic partnerships with a number of significant players in the wireless marketplace, including BellSouth Mobility DCS and Omnipoint Technologies. HiddenMind products are currently deployed, and their use is being expanded, at Nortel Networks.

"All HiddenMind products are Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) compliant. They also utilize Sun Microsystems Java and Jini technologies, as well as modified Extensible Markup Language (XML) to deliver messages and business data forms to various devices and to trigger other software processes with those messages and forms.
