London -- "Sixteen industry leaders providing solutions for secure wireless e-commerce announced today that they are joining Radicchio, the global initiative to unleash the potential of wireless e-commerce. Radicchio members now include 28 companies committed to promoting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions for secure transactions over wireless networks. Launched in September 1999, Radicchio's most recent members include Across Wireless AB, Baltimore Technologies, CYLINK Corporation, Entrust Technologies, Gray Cell Inc., iD2 Technologies, Lucent Technologies, MasterCard International, Mobile Telephone Networks, NTT DATA Corporation, Saraide, Synamic Limited, VeriSign Inc., Virgin Mobile, Visa International and Vodafone Airtouch.
"Radicchio is the exclusive sponsor of the conference "Wireless E-Commerce - Clearing the Road for Global Expansion," which will take place at the Olympia Conference Centre in London on 13-14 January. Industry experts from around the world will address topics such as: providing wireless PKI based security in consumer banking; the PMA for cellular telephony; developments in PKI capability for wireless commerce; and, law and regulation relating to digital signatures. Panel discussions cover the APAC perspective on wireless e-commerce and Evaluating security options: SIM toolkit, WAP, iMODE. Two pre-conference workshops on Implementing digital signatures and PKI, and Standards and regulation for secure mobile commerce will take place on 12 January.
