Psion, Palm, Nokia Link Up to Synchronize Data

[The "SyncML" initiative plans to develop a platform independent open standard for data synchronization according to Psion.]

London -- "British handheld computer maker Psion Plc said on Tuesday it was linking up with major partners to develop an open universal standard for synchronizing data across different computer platforms.

"Founding partners of the SyncML initiative include IBM, Nokia, Lotus, Motorola, Palm Inc and Starfish Software.
