[eMobile has integrated WAP/SMS access to Microsoft Outlook/Exchange in this new service offering.]
Manchester -- eMobile (UK) Ltd today launched PassPort for
Exchange for Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) enabled mobile phones, allowing real-time wireless access to corporate clients' MS Outlook and Exchange Server information including email, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes.
PassPort for Exchange allows corporate clients to be accessible anywhere, anytime. Employees can send, receive, forward and reply to MS Outlook
emails, including the ability to view attachments and forward them to a fax machine.
eMobile's Managing Director, Mike Bennett, said, "More corporate clients find it necessary to stay in touch as they carry out business away from the office. The fact that executives no longer need to carry a laptop, Personal
Digital Assistant (PDA) and mobile phone but can use their WAP enabled handsets for voice and data communications is a huge breakthrough," said Mr.
Bennett. "WAP isn't about surfing the Internet, it's about getting access to information you really need, when you really need it."
With PassPort for Exchange, corporate customers can access their entire Outlook calendar, record notes and reminders, and search for important
client and contact information. PassPort for Exchange also sends instant Short Message Service (SMS) notification to any GSM mobile phone of emails, meeting and task reminders.
