Tokyo -- "NTT DoCoMo Inc. will have the "JBlend" Java platform by Aplix Corp. on some models of its i-mode mobile phone "503i" series that is to be debuted towards the end of 2000, Nikkei Electronics has learned.

"The 503i series will have Java execution environment.

"Access Co., Ltd. has a 70-80 percent share in the Web browser market for devices that support i-mode. According to Aplix, "an i-mode with JBlend is not meant to make the Java execution environment as plug-in software for the Web browser."
