"The forum says that the specification has been evolving rapidly, and now includes features that will make it easier for developers to build compelling applications and to create a richer experience for users. "These new specifications include the migration from Wireless Markup Language (WML) to Extended Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) as the core markup language of WAP, as well as advanced user interfaces, animation, pop-up menus, color and increased multimedia functionality for a variety of wireless devices.
