"Unfortunately, recognition software, such as that from Tegic Communications, doesn't always help much when entering URLs on a handset because few use standard English.

"One answer to that problem comes from a New York-based company called Blink.com Inc., started in 1999 by computer science Ph.D. David Siegel. His original idea was to provide an Internet home for the bookmarks people store on their desktop PCs, thereby, giving users access to their personal bookmarks from any PC with an Internet connection.
