by Myles White -- "I've been having a great time recently, testing all manner of Internet gateway / routers and wireless network products (sometimes all combined into the same unit).

"In the process, I've looked at products by (in alphabetical order), 3Com, D-Link, GVC, Intel, and Linksys. As I've encountered the occasional puzzlement and obstacle, I've had the opportunity to either search Web-based tech support for all of the companies, or to call for help when nothing else worked.

"I should also note that, for the most part, the equipment I received for testing worked properly; it was usually my confusion over something in (or, more often, not in) the manuals that I was calling to sort out
