J-Phone Group to Start Delivery of 3D Images for Cellular Phones in June

Tokyo -- "The J-Phone Group, Bandai Networks Co., Ltd. and HI Corp. have collaborated to develop technology to display three-dimensional images on a cellular phone.

"The technology, called Mascot Capsule Engine/Micro3D Edition For J-Phone, will enable cellular phone terminals to move characters depicted with the three-dimensional polygon technology on a standby screen and games developed with Java language.

"The J-Phone Group will introduce the new technology for cellular phone models to debut from June. At the same time, Bandai Networks will start delivering three-dimensional characters for such new cellular phone models.
