Spain's Moviles says 3G group in German agreement

By William Schomberg, Madrid -- "Spain's Telefonica Moviles (TEM) said on Friday its German mobile telecommunications venture, 3G, had signed a preliminary agreement to share UMTS infrastructure with another operator in Germany to help cut soaring start-up costs.

"The memorandum of understanding with the unnamed partner -- which could be widened to include a third of Germany's six UMTS licence holders -- would help 3G reduce its capital expenditure over the next 10 years to 2.4 billion euros ($2.1 billion) from a previous estimate of 6.2 billion, a Moviles spokesman said.
