by Yang Sung-jin -- "Qualcomm, a San Diego-based wireless technology firm, may struggle to persuade KTF to adopt its proprietary wireless Internet platform, underscoring the difficulties in digging up another royalty goldmine in Korea.

"KTF, the country's second largest mobile service provider, said it is yet to finalize the decision about whether it will opt for Qualcomm's BREW (binary runtime environment for wireless).

"KTF's top officials said the company will make a decision after completing a test-run operation of BREW which starts in early September and goes through until the end of September.
