Yokogawa Electric Launches Software to Authorize Access from I-Mode Cell Phones

[Yokogawa's "Secure Ticket" software verifies user access made by a person outside a network browsing the content of an intranet via a mobile handset. ]

Tokyo -- "Yokogawa Electric Corp. on Jan. 30 launched a software package dubbed "SecureTicket Ver3.1" that authorizes accesses from mobile phones.

"This software uses a number uniquely allotted to each i-mode cell phone handset to identify and authorize the access from it.

"Yokogawa Electric is targeting this product at businesses and organizations developing e-businesses, and building and operating intranets. The company expects to sell 500 units in fiscal 2002, including sales overseas.
