CDMA users number 147 million worldwide

"South Korea is leading the CDMA-based mobile service market with three mobile-service carriers - SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom - offering voice and multimedia data to more than 32.6 million subscribers via the cdma2000 1x network, also known as a third-generation (3G)."

"The information ministry said that the nonprofit CDMA Development Group (CDG) revealed in a recent survey that CDMA mobile phone users numbered at 147 million as of early January this year, up 12 million from the fourth quarter of 2002."
