Overland Park, KS -- Sprint, which operates the largest all-digital, all-CDMA Third-Generation (3G) wireless network in the United States, and Wireless Gaming Review (WGR), the leading publication dedicated to wireless games, are bringing timely game reviews to PCS VisionSM customers. Through a new partnership, the editors of WGR will review new PCS Vision games and post their reviews in the Games menu, making the reviews accessible directly through PCS Vision Phones. These reviews will enable customers to make educated decisions about the games they purchase and play, using an impartial and trusted game publication as their guide.
"Gamers of all ages are using their PCS Vision Phones to play their favorite games when they're away from their PC or game console," said Chip Novick, vice president of consumer marketing for the PCS division of Sprint. "By providing relevant game reviews, we are providing our customers with a roadmap for making game purchase decisions."
Matthew Bellows, co-founder of Wireless Gaming Review, said "We are proud to be providing Sprint customers with wireless game reviews right on their PCS Vision handsets. Sprint and Sprint's developers have collaborated to produce some fantastic content. Wireless Gaming Review was created to cover this emerging creative medium, and we're very happy to be doing it with Sprint."
On the phones, reviews will be accessed via a "Best Rated" link directly from the Games menu. By early June, consumers will be able to instantly purchase and download the game once they read the review.
