Tokyo -- J-Phone announces it will offer two new Sha-mail picture messaging handsets, the J-D08 by Mitusibshi Electric and the J-T010 by Toshiba for sale in July.

The J-D08 comes with a high-resolution Super CCD Honeycom camera that has an effective resolution of 170,000 pixels and is capable of registering a maximum 310,000 pixels (640 x 480 resolution). In addition, the handset features a large-size 2.1-inch Crystal Fine LCD for the vivid reproduction of up to 260,000 colors. To enable the backup of pictures, e-mail, address books and other precious data, the J-D08 supports SD Memory Cards and comes with an 8MB card. For greater photography enjoyment, the J-D08's motor drive function lets users take up to 64 pictures in succession and with the "read video playback" function, they can be played back to simulate video. The J-D08 also boasts an elegant and refined form with its round shell design.

The J-T010 features the industry's first electronic dictionary function and comes with a Japanese dictionary of 40,000 words, an English-Japanese dictionary of 40,000 words and a Japanese-English dictionary of 36,000 words (all numbers approximate). The handset can take excellent pictures with its 310,000 pixel CCD built-in mobile camera and there is also a "handy video" feature for capturing live action. The J-T010 is capable of displaying a maximum of 260,000 colors in QVGA on its highly vivid Super Fine Poly-silicon TFT LCD screen and also comes with a "Pocket Database" for easy and personalized database creation.

With the addition of the J-D08 and the J-T010 to its lineup, J-Phone has released a total of 28 Sha-mail handsets.
