Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq NM: BORL) and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications today announced a strategic relationship to extend the support of enhanced mobile application development. Under the terms of the agreement, Borland plans to distribute and support the Sony Ericsson Java Software Development Kit (SDK) through the Borland(r) JBuilder 9 Mobile Edition, accelerating the application development lifecycle for wireless Java(tm) based devices.

Borland support for the Sony Ericsson SDK enables better management of the entire wireless application development lifecycle, driving the introduction of innovative and compelling consumer applications and services.
