[Agreement opens new markets for TAG installers, who will offer consumers a selection of Motorola broadband, wireless, and home-entertainment products.]
Edison, NJ -- The Advantage Group (TAG), a national value-added distribution organization servicing custom installers, system integrators and installing retailers, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) Broadband Communications Sector, authorizing TAG members to distribute Motorola broadband, wireless, home-entertainment, and consumer electronics products.
Under the agreement, all TAG members will soon be able to offer "connected home" broadband consumer electronics products from Motorola's consumer solutions business. Recently announced, this business leverages Motorola's retail brand presence and global leadership in cable modems and digital set-tops to promote broadband connectivity in and around the home. In addition to Motorola wireless cable modem gateway, telephony, and home networking products, the business supports a portfolio of innovative, multi-function devices, such as the award-winning Motorola DCP501, an all-in-one, cable-ready home theater system.
