[New AirCard 775 PC and MP 775 GPS Model to offer speeds three time faster than on GPRS networks.]

CTIA Atlanta -- Sierra Wireless announced today the introduction of the AirCard 775 PC Card and the MP 775 GPS modem for EDGE networks. The AirCard 775 wireless wide area network (WWAN) card will provide mobile users with faster data rates, reaching speeds up to three times faster than on GPRS networks, offering an enhanced user experience and increased productivity. The MP 775 GPS rugged vehicle-mount modem is the next generation mobile product that provides in-vehicle data solutions while operating over EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks. The Sierra Wireless AirCard 775 and MP 775 are scheduled for commercial availability in the second half of 2004. The AirCard 775 is on demonstration at CTIA Wireless 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia until March 24th.

About the size of a credit card, the Sierra Wireless AirCard 775 is an EDGE multi-slot Class 12 PC Card and the newest addition to the award winning AirCard PC Card series. The AirCard 775 is ideal for mobile professionals who are heavy data users, allowing them to send data at speeds averaging between 100-130 kbps (kilobits per second), with bursts up to 216 kbps. The quadband design (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) also enables global roaming on both EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks. The AirCard 775 is powered by technology from Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) and TTPCom. ADI's Blackfin SoftFone for the EDGE platform is the world's first completely RAM-based chipset for the EDGE standard, incorporating breakthrough advancements in reducing battery drain, making the AirCard 775 a powerful tool to keep connected.

The MP 775 GPS operates in extreme temperatures and meets US Military and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1455 specifications for vibration, shock, and humidity. The MP 775 product is the next evolution of design in the successful MP line that began with the MP 200, the world's first rugged CDPD vehicle-mount modem, followed by the MP 750 GPS for global GSM/GPRS networks and the MP 555 GPS for CDMA2000 1X networks. The MP 775 GPS, built for demanding environments and worldwide connectivity, is ideal for public safety, transportation and field service industries. Current MP 750 customers can easily upgrade to the MP 775 GPS through a factory upgrade program.
