From tomorrow, SingTel's prepaid customers will be charged only 22 cents per minute for local calls, compared to 28 cents previously.

hi!Card users will also enjoy 50 per cent savings on their local SMS rate. It will now cost 5 cents per SMS sent. The rate for global SMS remains at 20 cents per message.

Those who use the hello!Mobile card, popular among foreigners in Singapore, will enjoy a more competitive global SMS rate of 15 cents per SMS sent, compared to 20 cents previously. The rate for local SMS remains at 10 cents per message.

In addition, prepaid customers can look forward to an immediate three-month promotion which offers them an industry-low rate of 10 cents a minute for outgoing calls to any SingTel mobile number all day.
