[New entry-level A57 announced by Siemens weighs in at 84 grams and offers lots of personlization options, gaming, 16-chord polyphonic ringtones and a variety of screen animations.]

Munich -- Siemens Mobile launches its latest entry-level handset, the A57. The A57 is lightweight at 84 grams. It comes in two colors, Pebble and Cassis, and has a sleek design with chrome ring finishing. It also has a selection of exchangeable CLIPit Covers. Further personalization options available include downloadable 16-chord polyphonic ring tones and snazzy screen animations. The A57's multi-functionality always ensures easier communication whether via voice, SMS, or - thanks to various pre-installed images, sounds and animations - EMS (Enhanced Message Service) messages. Technologically advanced, the A57 includes helpful features such as a currency converter, quick dial and hotkeys and calling animations. Battery life provides up to five hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time.

Their are four games available with the new Siemens A57 handset including 'Balloon Shooter', and 'Stack Attack'.

The handset is available with a range of additional Siemens Original Accessories. In addition to the four exchangeable CLIPit Covers, the accessories include stylish carrying cases, a choice of different chargers, such as Desk Top Charger, Travel or Car Charger Plus with headset connector, and for hands-free talking on the move, a range of different accessories are available. These include the elaborately designed Headset Purestyle as well as the flexible Car Kit Portable as in-car solution.

The phone will be available throughout Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Middle East from July 2004. The price will be available locally.
