San Mateo -- Digital Chocolate, Inc., a developer of innovative content for mobile phones founded by personal computing and video gaming pioneer Trip Hawkins, today announced its first products for mobile phones.
The first Digital Chocolate products include: Baseball Heroes of the MLBPAA by DChoc Sports(TM), an interactive game featuring Major League Baseball stars from the 1970s and 80s in the most realistic sports action available on a mobile phone; and DChoc Bubble Ducky(TM), a puzzle game that allows players to turn a few free moments into a challenging and entertaining experience.
"We're developing products to satisfy the desire of people who want dramatically improved and entirely new experiences from their mobile phones, not a tiny TV or a mediocre game machine," said Trip Hawkins, Digital Chocolate's CEO and founder, who has a notable history in personal computing and gaming, having founded and built the seminal games company Electronic Arts. "Our first titles set a new standard for production values and ease of use for mobile software and our longer-term goal is to develop software that leverages the fact that mobile phones are the first truly personal computers."
The products will be available on the BREW solution as the first wave of Digital Chocolate distribution. The products will also be available for Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition platform (J2ME).
