San Diego -- Siemens Mobile today announced the availability of the new CT66, the newest phone for youthful consumers seeking an outlet to express good taste, personality and individuality. The CT66 will be available in October for young people who enjoy using colors, pictures, sounds and messaging in communicating with others.

Siemens' CT66 offers youth a variety of communication and entertainment capabilities that enables them to stay connected to peers in a fun yet practical way. The CT66 comes equipped with a high-resolution up to 65,536 color screen, an integrated CIF camera(a) (with attachable flash sold separately)(b) and built-in picture viewer and photo editor applications that allow consumers to customize or edit the latest image they have taken. And if a noisy or quiet environment makes talking hard to do, users can keep up the chatter with the CT66's instant messaging(c) feature.

In addition to instant messaging, consumers can send voice memos as well as photos, animations and recordable sounds with the CT66's Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)(c). And for staying up-to-date on their schedule and friends' contact information, youthful consumers can use the phone's IrDA and data synchronization capabilities to help keep track of their busy lives.

Product details for the CT66 include a weight of three ounces, talk time of up to five hours(d), standby time of up to 250 hours(d), Li-Ion battery, 40-chord polyphonic sound, speakerphone, Java(TM) games, joystick menu navigation, and optional accessories such as an attachable flash for the camera (flash sold separately)(b). It operates on the 850/1800/1900 MHz Global System for Mobile communications (GSM(TM)) frequencies, enabling it for use as a world phone.
