[New youth-targeted handsets offer a variety of features including an integrated camera on the SGH-317, while both offer a 65,000 color screen, AOL(R) IM and ICQ messaging options.]

Dallas -- Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) introduces the latest must-have wireless phones for fashionistas and busy professionals alike. With an integrated camera, familiar AOL(R) Instant Messenger(tm) and ICQ messaging options, the SGH-e317 and SGH-x427m sport features that teens and young professionals demand for their active lifestyles.

With the popularity of camera phones skyrocketing, the e317 is a preferred device with all-in-one functionality. The integrated camera features digital zoom that captures friends ready for their close-up, brightness adjustments that allow consumers to snap pictures in low-light settings and a self-timer so any photographer can instantly become part of the picture. The e317 also stands apart with its crisp, 65,000-color main screen that enables consumers to download, send and receive images in dazzling living color.

Personalization is the name of the game on the x427m with polyphonic ringers, screen savers, wallpapers and advanced messaging that allow users to add animation, pictures and sounds to messages. Consumers also can take advantage of high-speed Internet access to locate information and stay entertained through games, news updates, images, flight information and maps, all of which are brilliantly displayed via the 65,000-color screen.

The e317 and x427m weigh in at 3.0 ounces and 2.8 ounces, respectively. With two-year contracts, the e317 is available to Cingular customers in GSM/GPRS markets for $149.99 and the x427m is available for $29.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
