Sprint and Sanyo intro the MM7400 multimedia phone

Overland Park, KS -- Sprint and Sanyo announced plans to offer Sanyo's first multimedia phone, the Sprint PCS Vision(SM) Multimedia Phone MM-7400 by Sanyo. This feature-rich phone allows customers to view on-demand streaming video and audio as well as shoot VGA pictures and extended 30-second video clips with the integrated camera and camcorder. The phone also offers Sprint PCS Ready Link(SM) capabilities for walkie-talkie style communication. This sporty and stylish phone features a rugged, slip-resistant body and interchangeable face plates, making it perfect for customers on the go or who like variety. The MM-7400 by Sanyo will be available later this month at Sprint Stores nationwide and online for a suggested retail price of $379.99 or $229.99 after rebate.

With Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services, customers get streaming audio and video content from familiar sources, including NBC Mobile, CNN, ABC News, FOX Sports, The Weather Channel, Discovery, E! Entertainment, mFlix, Twentieth Century Fox, AccuWeather, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Comedy Time and 1KTV. Multimedia content is delivered to the handset from the Sprint Nationwide PCS Network at up to 15 frames per second.

The MM-7400 by Sanyo is an Innovations 2005 Design and Engineering Showcase honoree in the Wireless Communications category. Innovations 2005 is the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA) prestigious competition that honors product excellence in Design and Engineering. .

The handset is also adept at capturing life's events as they happen. With the capability to record extended 30-second video and audio clips as well as shoot VGA still photos, the MM-7400 by Sanyo allows consumers to capture surprise moments in their lives. The integrated camera features a built-in three-mode flash, and the camcorder has a movie light to improve the outcome in low-light situations. With Picture Mail(SM) and Sprint PCS Video Mail, users can instantly take and share special moments with family and friends.

The MM-7400 by Sanyo is a fashionable mobile phone for style-loving users who want to make a statement with the look of their phone. Users can choose from five different interchangeable faceplate colors in a stylish teardrop design. Titanium and metallic-red colors are included with the handset while three optional colors, deep blue, ocean blue and black onyx, are available to purchase separately. The MM-7400 by Sanyo's exclusive rubber Dura-Grip(TM) protects against surface damage and gives the phone a sporty look.

The MM-7400 by Sanyo is also Sprint PCS Ready Link-capable and includes the high-quality Sanyo speakerphone. Sprint PCS Ready Link gives customers a quick, convenient way to communicate one-on-one or with groups of up to five other people for short "get-in, get-out" conversations.
