Will China abandon TD-SCDMA?

[China Academy of Telecommunications Research reports favorable results in trials involving W-CDMA and cdma2000 while TD-SCDMA was noticeably absent in their results.]

Asia Intelligence Wire via NewsEdge -- "Reporting on the outcome of the five-month trial period, officials at the Academy, which is attached to the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), would only say that TD-SCDMA technology had improved.

"By all accounts, TD-SCDMA is behind the curve. No speaker publicly acknowledged this fact. But it was evident from what they did not say. Test results were provided for all technologies, except TD-SCDMA," said Michael Thelander, founder of US-based Signals Research Group."
