Pantech launches the PH-S6500

[Pantech launches the PH-S6500 motion-recognition "extreme leisure" phone for SK Telecom featuring a running mate function, digital compass and GPS.]

Pantech released the CDMA 1x PH-S6500 built for SK Telecom. This is the next motion-recognition handset out of Korea following Samsung's recent announcement of their new SCH-S310.

The PH-S6500 is being called the "extreme leisure" phone and has the ability to detect how long a person runs and the calories burned during the run and other sports-related functionality.

Specs and features include a 262,144 color TFT LCD display with 3D graphic support, a rotation 1M resolution CCD digital camera with video record and playback and digital zoom. It also sports an MP3 player, a phone joystick navigation key, dual stereo speakers, 65-bit polyphonic ring tone, a miniSD card expansion slot, and USB.
