[NTT DoCoMo announces extended international roaming deals, this time in China, Qatar and South Korea.]

Tokyo -- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. and its eight regional subsidiaries announced today new service markets for the international roaming service and FOMA 3G international videophone service.

Beginning May 27, WORLD WING(R) and WORLD WALKER(R) users will be able to browse both i-mode and Web sites from China, in addition to using existing services for voice and SMS. They will also be able to send/receive i-mode mail under the same address that they use in Japan. Data communications will cost 50 yen for the first 50 packets and 0.2 yen per packet thereafter. China Mobile Communications Corporation will provide the local network.

From May 30, international roaming for voice and SMS communications will be available in Qatar through Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. network.

From June 11, 3G FOMA videophone users who subscribe to the WORLD CALL service will be able to enjoy videophone calls with 3G videophone customers of mobile operator KT Freetel Co., Ltd. in South Korea. The communication charge will be 44 yen per 10 seconds (up to the user's monthly limit for international roaming charges).

As a result of these additions, DoCoMo will offer voice roaming in 125 countries/regions, i-mode packet communications roaming in 35 countries/regions and international videophone communications in five countries/regions.
