[ADC and Xirrus to supply the new Digivance WFX W-LAN Array solution to enterprise customers delivering up to 864 Mbps of Wi-Fi bandwidth over a large area allowing up to 1,024 users to be wirelessly connected to the network.]

Minneapolis and Westlake Village, CA -- ADC today announced an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Xirrus to supply its complete family of enterprise-class Wi-Fi solutions as the Digivance WFX product family. Under terms of the agreement, ADC will now offer the Digivance WFX Wireless LAN Array solution to its enterprise customers who seek a scalable, cost effective solution to deliver in-building Wi-Fi access. With this expansion of the Digivance portfolio, service providers can deliver a complete wireless solution supporting the convergence of wide-area wireless and Wi-Fi technologies for voice and data applications.

The Digivance WFX Wireless LAN Array solution combines a wireless LAN switch with up to 16 integrated access points and a high-gain multi-sector antenna system in a single device. This integrated approach delivers greater coverage and bandwidth than alternative solutions while reducing Wi-Fi equipment requirements and the time and effort involved in planning, deploying and managing a Wi-Fi network.

"We're excited about adding the Digivance WFX Wireless LAN Array to our portfolio of wireless offerings," said Mike Pratt, president of the Active Infrastructure Business Unit for ADC. "This innovative approach simplifies the deployment of Wi-Fi access and allows carriers and enterprises to deploy wireless networks as efficiently as wired networks. The WFX is a perfect complement to our Digivance Indoor Coverage Solution. We are looking forward to teaming with Xirrus to expand our joint capabilities."

Effective immediately, the agreement allows ADC to market the complete family of Xirrus Wireless LAN Arrays, Centralized Management Platform and Remote Power System under the Digivance brand on a worldwide basis.

"This OEM agreement further validates the WLAN Array architecture and its ability to deliver high-performance, scalable Wi-Fi networks," said Dirk Gates, CEO for Xirrus. "Enterprise customers are ready for a strategic new class of wireless and converged networking solutions that a global leader such as ADC can best deliver."

The Digivance WFX Wireless LAN Array delivers up to 864 Mbps of Wi-Fi bandwidth over a large area and allows up to 1,024 users to be wirelessly connected to the network. The product family includes solutions for a broad range of applications, from branch offices where bandwidth is not an issue, to hospitals and campuses where maximum bandwidth is required to support an increasing number of Wi-Fi customers and applications.
