CoolPrepaid.com Intros Prepaid Phone Service
Posted: 21-Mar-2006 [Source: CoolPrepaid.com]

[MVNO CoolPrepaid offers Motorola phones along with low flat rates of 10 cents per minute for U.S. calls and an additional 10 cents for international calls along with a 30 cents per day access fee.]

New York -- CoolPrepaid.com announced the availability of CoolPrepaid.com Motorola phones, with the lowest U.S. and international flat rates of any U.S provider. Available in Sears stores nationwide, and on the Cingular Wireless network and at www.coolprepaid.com, CoolPrepaid.com's low rates include a per day access fee of 30 cents, U.S. rates of just 10 cents per minute and international rates to places including China, Rome, Tokyo and Mexico for an additional 10 cents.

According to the Yankee Group, 78 percent of net service additions through 2008 will be prepaid, while postpaid offerings will see only incremental growth. This growth in prepaid phone service is why CoolPrepaid.com has launched a very low, per minute flat rate for all nationwide calls; both incoming and outgoing, with no roaming charges and including voice mail and caller ID at no extra charge.

By using the Cingular Wireless network, CoolPrepaid.com offers the widest nationwide prepaid plan, covering 98 percent of the U.S. population. Its partnership with Motorola allows CoolPrepaid.com to offer its customers the newest, most coveted handsets on the market, including the RAZR V3.

"Post-paid services have reached a plateau," said Marvin Jemal, CoolPrepaid.com chairman and CEO. "The robust growth in prepaid comes from users that are no longer happy with contracts and restrictions, users that always like the latest, coolest phones and from users who like to control their spending. Our platform also taps into the incredible buying power that the ethnic consumers have and their desire to use their cell phone for both domestic and international calls."

All CoolPrepaid.com phones are on the GSM network and CoolPrepaid.com works with local carriers to ensure the lowest international prepaid rates. Customers can also simply slip a CoolPrepaid.com SIM card in their phone and always have access to low flat global rates on the newest phones. SIM cards are also available through CoolPrepaid.com displays at major retailers and at www.coolprepaid.com.

CoolPrepaid.com can offer low rates to consumers simply by allowing people to purchase phones in national retail stores and receive them pre-loaded with the CoolPrepaid.com service. CoolPrepaid.com also offers news, personalization, gaming content, and exclusive ringtones.

"We have learned from the European model, and are excited to bring easily accessible service to mainstream America with the latest phones or SIM cards at very low prices," said Jack Hidary, CoolPrepaid.com strategic director. "This business approach allows CoolPrepaid.com to find the best deals out there so customers and retail stores really see how cool phone service can be."

CoolPrepaid.com has raised $8 million from private investors to launch a new type of MVNO and is now operating with only five seasoned retail and telecom employees resulting in an extremely low overhead cost. The company retains the flexibility to offer an innovative, cost efficient way to provide services to consumers. CoolPrepaid.com executive team founded the company to create a prepaid phone service that meets their needs for traveling, convenience and content, while still being low cost, and offering cool new phones.
