CTIA's Emerging Technology Award Winners

CTIA, Las Vegas -- The Wireless Association today announced the winners of its Wireless Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards and the Technology Marketing Awards at the CTIA WIRELESS 2006 Convention taking place this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Wireless E-tech Awards program was designed to give industry recognition and exposure to the best wireless products and services in the areas of Consumer, Enterprise and Network technology. Nearly 200 applications were submitted and judged on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall "wow" factor.

Judges for the E-Tech awards included:

Business Week, Steve Wildstrom CNET, Kent German Fidelity Investments, Joseph Ferra Forrester Research, Charles Golvin General Catalyst Partners, John Simon Jupiter Media, Michael Gartenberg PC Magazine, Sascha Segan RCR Wireless News, Tracy Ford Siber Consulting, Richard Siber Wireless Week, Rhonda Wickham Yankee Group, Philip Marshal

The 2006 CTIA E-Tech Award winners are as follows:

Best in Show, as voted upon by CTIA WIRELESS 2006 attendees, went to Samsung for the Samsung T509 camera phone.
