''Quadruple Play'' Services in a New Residential Development

Germantown, MD -- All tenants of The Octagon, a newly opened 500-unit luxury residential complex on New York's Roosevelt Island, are moving in with free access to 21 Century technology, provided by the developer, Becker + Becker Associates. Microwave Satellite Technologies, Inc, (MST), a subsidiary of Telkonet Inc., has created and installed a communications system for The Octagon that allows all residents to enjoy a comprehensive bundle of services, including Internet, Cable, Voice and WiFi services - all from one provider.

The building's architect and developer, Bruce Becker, President of Becker + Becker Associates, is offering each of the 500 rental units free broadband access at every electrical outlet in the building, as well as cable TV, VoIP and WiFi services. The Octagon also boasts two fourteen-story wings, 30,000 square feet of lobby area, and amenities that include six tennis courts, on-site childcare, and a 22,000 square foot fitness center.

MST is one of the first providers of the so-called "Quadruple Play" -- a bundle of communications features that includes a 100% digital cable offering with the most HDTV content available, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and Internet access in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Included in this package of services will be the first WiFi capability on Roosevelt Island, which is located in the East River between Manhattan and Queens. MST has created a WiFi zone at The Octagon that allows access to a wireless broadband Internet service from many convenient public locations.

"Our intention was to establish a new standard for delivery of digital services to the New York market," said Frank Matarazzo, President of MST and a pioneer in the development of private cable TV and Internet services to owners and developers of multi-dwelling units in New York City. "With the implementation of new technologies, we are able to free New York City apartment residents from the limitations of traditional voice, video and data services offered by the cable and phone companies."

According to Mr. Becker, his firm turned to MST in order to offer tenants the most sophisticated technology services packages available. "There aren't many companies that offer the quadruple play. MST provides that perfect package of services and support that tech-savvy residents are seeking in new property developments. One of the perks of taking an apartment at The Octagon -- in addition to the bevy of amenities we offer -- is the free quadruple play we are giving everyone who moves in."
