SunCom Wireless announced it is the first wireless provider to offer customers full music track downloads directly to their handsets from Napster Mobile. With 2 million songs available for handset and PC download - more than the amount offered by both the Verizon and Sprint music services combined - Napster Mobile gives SunCom customers access to the largest mobile music catalog in the world.
Full music track downloads are available through SunCom from Napster Mobile for just $2 per song. Each song purchase includes an additional license allowing the customer to also download the track directly from Napster to their PC. Once downloaded, customers can add the song to their personal digital music library to use on other devices, such as a compatible MP3 player.
Mobile Music To Go
SunCom is one of the first carriers to offer two new Sony Ericsson phones that support Napster music downloading. Customers can purchase the Sony Ericsson W300 Walkman(R) phone and the award-winning Sony Ericsson W810 Walkman(R) phone between now and August 20, 2006, at the special price of $69.99 and $199.99, respectively, with a two-year agreement.
Acknowledged as the most advanced music phones on the market today, the Sony Ericsson Walkman(R) phones come equipped with a Walkman(R) music player, an FM radio, an integrated camera and easy-to-use text and picture messaging. Sony Ericsson's Disc2Phone ripping software allows users to easily transfer music onto wireless phones from a CD music collection, including those downloaded from Napster, and drag and drop the songs onto the phone window shown. Built-in Bluetooth(TM) and USB connectivity make it easy to transfer personal information from your PC to your phone.
The Sony Ericsson W810 is a Walkman(R) Quad-band EDGE phone that enables users to transfer their personal CD collection or access music download services while staying connected to friends and family. A memory slot with 512 MB of removable memory included provides ample storage space for pictures, music files and games. A dedicated Walkman button for music menu access further enhances the multi-media experience with easy navigation to favorite tunes.
Ring My Bell
As part of SunCom's commitment to provide subscribers the best user experience possible, the company is now also offering ringback tones, the sound callers hear as they wait for an answer when they call someone. Customers can assign any purchased ringback tone to specific individuals on their caller ID list - personalizing the caller's experience for each friend or family member. For example, users may want a significant other to hear a favorite song or personal message, such as "Hey honey, so glad you called." Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York" may be the right selection for a grandmother to hear, but "Yeah!" by Usher may be preferred for a best friend.
In addition, users can select ringback tones for specific days of the week, times of the day, days of the month or days of the year. With ringback tones, users can always be in control of the message they send when others call. SunCom is the first regional wireless carrier to offer ringback tones to its customers.
The Caller Ringback tone service is available for $1 a month with access to more than 5,600 ringback tones priced at $2.
