Los Angeles, CTIA -- MobiTV, Inc. today announced it will offer attendees of the CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment show demonstrations of live High-Definition television delivered over a pre-mobile WiMAX network. The real-time demonstration will showcase the MobiTV service running over Navini's Ripwavea MX equipment to both fixed and mobile customer premises equipment. This will provide attendees with a preview of several 'Proof of Concepts' planned for later this year.

"This is a critical time in the evolution of television and we are steadfast in our commitment to back the best standards for our partners and consumers alike," said Dr. Phillip Alvelda, CEO, chairman and co-founder of MobiTV. "In a few short weeks we have announced our official support for the WiMAX standard, been invited to join the WiMAX Forum as a contributing member to their mobile applications initiatives, and now will demonstrate live HD TV running over a WiMAX network. WiMAX is real and we're committed to ensuring its success as a global standard."

WiMAX and mobile WiMAX are the latest extensions to MobiTV's portfolio of supported network technologies, with features designed to support all of the key components that make mobile television viable to consumers and carriers alike.
