London -- Virgin Mobile today extended its commitment to rewarding customer loyalty working with Flytxt and ActiveMedia Technology to offer customers a new mobile ticketing queue jumping facility.

Entitled Q Jump, the promotion will give Virgin Mobile music fans faster access to live music at venues throughout the UK throughout the year by enabling them to go to the front of the entrance queue with a friend at Carling Academy Birmingham club nights Ramshackle and Subculture.

Advertising at participating venues will encourage Virgin Mobile customers to text the word 'Qjump' to 26666 to receive a Q Jump ticket. The unique barcode tickets will then be redeemed at the venue using RAPOS(tm) (redemption at point of sale) terminals from ActiveMedia Technology.

Rosie Newey, Sponsorship & Events Manager, Virgin Mobile said: "Our customers love music so what better way to reward them for their loyalty than letting them jump the queue? The success of our mobile ticketing campaign at V Festival has encouraged us to expand the concept, making good music more easily accessible to a much wider customer base. The cost, flexibility and ease of deployment of ActiveMedia's RAPOS(tm) mobile ticketing solution has made this a reality while Flytxt have, yet again, enabled us to offer make our ideas a reality."

Unlike other mobile ticketing technology ActiveMedia's unique, patent pending, bar code ticket delivery, management and redemption platform delivers secure barcoded tickets to mobile phones which can be read by off-the-shelf, hand held web cams, rather than traditional costly bespoke terminals. Once scanned, information from the barcode is passed from the web cam to a PC, handheld device or retail Epos system where it is authenticated by ActiveMedia's RAPOS(tm) software.

Adhish Kulkarni, VP Client Services, Flytxt said: "Virgin Mobile understands its audience and consistently delivers mobile marketing campaigns that reward their loyalty and engage their long term support. Using mobile for privileged entry is a relatively new development and, yet again, Virgin Mobile is at the forefront of a new marketing trend. Flytxt and ActiveMedia's ability to combine practical real world technology with great mobile marketing know how provides the underlying support to makes such great campaigns a reality."

Ramesh Kumar, Business Development Director, ActiveMedia Technology added: "The Q Jump promotion is designed to make the live music experience smoother and more memorable for Virgin Mobile customers while also providing a sense of VIP treatment. At the same time the simplicity of the software set up and use at venues makes this a viable self-contained promotion requiring no additional investment in training venue staff or event organisers. We estimate that, due to the simplicity of the RAPOS(tm) software, we can reduce the cost of ticketing by as much as 80% compared to paper based tickets making it a secure, affordable option for promotions and as an alternative to traditional ticketing."

The national promotion follows the successful trial of Virgin Mobile Q Jump at Carling Academy Birmingham in October.

Flytxt will provide the delivery and mobile marketing technology to power the campaign while ActiveMedia Technology's mobile voucher and redemption software will be used in conjunction with its RAPOS terminals to validate and capture data from the tickets.
