CTIA Orlando -- PCTEL, Inc. announced the introduction of six new antenna models. The new products address applications in the emerging WiMax, public safety, and cellular infrastructure market segments.

These new products from PCTEL include:

* A new broadband Parabolic antenna product line for both WiMax and Wi-Fi applications. The MAXRAD MPRC product family offers a parabolic antenna with a covered radome. Product options include different dish sizes and support for 2.3 to 2.5 GHz and 4.9 to 6.0 GHz frequencies. PCTEL delivers the product "installation-ready" with the reflector, radome, and feed fully assembled. The MAXRAD MPRC antennas will be commercially available June 1, 2007.

* A new wideband antenna for UMTS, and PCS applications that incorporates integrated Variable Electrical Tilt (iVET) technology. The MAXRAD ID65MG20 operates in the 1710 to 2170 MHz bands.

* A new dualband antenna for GSM, UMTS, and PCS applications that incorporates iVET. The MAXRAD IS65BW13 operates in the 880-960 and 1710-2170 MHz frequency bands. Both the wideband and dual-band antennas are offered with a 65 degree beam-width and will be available June 1.

* A new GPS network timing reference antenna family with integrated surge protection. The MAXRAD GPS-TMG-SP series antennas target congested WiMax or cellular applications with requirements for durability and low maintenance. The antennas use a proprietary design and superior noise suppression, address difficult attenuation issues and perform better than traditional patch antennas. These antennas are available June 1.

"PCTEL's MAXRAD antenna product line continues to evolve to meet emerging requirements in WiMAX and Infrastructure," said Jeff Miller, PCTEL's Vice President and General Manager of its Broadband Technology Group. "The addition of the new MPRC parabolic line, new iVET and GPS models strengthen our product portfolio in Wi-Fi and WiMAX and responds directly to infrastructure market demands," added Miller.
