Los Angeles -- Electronic Arts Inc. and PopCap(TM) Games today announced the availability of an all-new version of Bejeweled, the popular gem-swapping puzzle game, for play on mobile phones. Already a best-seller on the mobile platform, the all-new Bejeweled delivers innovative features including enhanced graphics, advanced audio and a unique multiplayer game mode. Now mobile gamers from any location in the U.S., and on most wireless carrier networks, can battle in head-to-head competitions.

The multiplayer capabilities work cross-platform and users can choose to play against a friend or be matched up against an unknown opponent.

Mobile Bejeweled players can now get their fix with three different game modes -- Normal (untimed), Time Trial and Multiplayer -- each presented with dynamic graphics effects. Users can also now feel the game move, shake, and explode during the action with the addition of enhanced sounds and handset vibrations. High scores rankings let players keep track of best game performances, while advanced social networking features, including post-game chat, add to the fun and competition of connected play.
