Samsung unveils new music-centric phone - The Beat

[Samsung's The Beat handset is a flip phone featuring enhanced music capabilities and is available exclusively from T-Mobile USA.]

Dallas -- Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) announced today the availability of the Samsung Beat(TM) (SGH-t539). The Beat, a slick black flip phone, features a host of the most wanted, user-friendly mobile music features and provides a robust out of the box music experience.

Available exclusively from T-Mobile USA, Inc. (T-Mobile), the Beat's enhanced music capabilities include dedicated external music controls, stereo speaker, stereo Bluetooth technology, an included wired stereo headset and an included USB cable for side-loading music. In addition, the external memory slot supports up to 2GB of removable memory and the included 1GB memory card comes pre-loaded with two songs.

With eye-catching lime accents, the Beat hosts a variety of additional features, including a 1.3 megapixel camera and multimedia messaging capabilities. Customers also can stay connected while traveling worldwide with the Beat's quad-band technology.*
