[Brightpoint announces it is the sole distributor of HTC devices in the UK.]

Plainfield, IN -- Brightpoint, Inc. announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Brightpoint Great Britain Limited has been appointed as the sole distributor by HTC Corporation. The announcement comes as a result of Brightpoint's recent successful acquisition of the wireless distribution business of Hugh Symons Telecom in United Kingdom. This agreement is part of a wider-reaching global master agreement that HTC and Brightpoint entered into in October of 2007.

Steen Pedersen, President of Brightpoint Europe, commented, "We are proud to have been chosen by HTC as the exclusive distributor for its products across the UK and Ireland. We believe that the strong working relationship HTC has with the Hugh Symons team combined with the knowledge and competencies from Brightpoint will be a powerful platform for helping HTC to continue the development of its business within the Channel."
