[AnyDATA, designer and producer of wireless handsets for carrier branding, has announced a series of 3G smartphones including the ASP-505A marketed by Russian operator Skylink.]

Barcelona, MWC2009 -- AnyDATA Corporation, a global leader in the design and manufacture of wireless communications devices, is introducing at the 3GSMA Mobile World Conference a series of 3G smartphones for carriers worldwide. AnyDATA smartphones provide a unique combination of innovative design, high quality components, and the latest wireless technologies, yet at an affordable price for mass market adoption.

AnyDATA's first commercial smartphone is the ASP-505A marketed by Skylink under the carrier's brand. It is a Windows Mobile smartphone that utilizes 450Mhz CDMA EVDO Rev A technology. Skylink is the largest CDMA operator in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The AnyDATA ASP-505A is a touch phone with a 7.1 cm LCD and is loaded with features such as WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and camera. AnyDATA is developing an HSDPA version of this touch phone that will operate Windows Mobile 6.5.

AnyDATA also markets the ASP-210C, a QWERTY keyboard smartphone. This smartphone is designed for power users in developing markets who are price sensitive, yet want email and Internet as well as other applications based on Windows Mobile 6.1. The ASP-210C smartphone is commercially available now for CDMA 1x 800 Mhz operators. Additional features of the smartphone include a 6 cm LCD, Bluetooth, FM radio, and MP3 player.

AnyDATA is also introducing the ASP-535D smartphone that operates at 800 and 1900 Mhz frequencies on CDMA1X EV-DO Rev. A networks. Like other AnyDATA smartphones, it features a sleek, stylish design and built-in GPS for location-based service applications. The user interface will be based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and features a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

"Over the past few years, we have invested substantial resources in smartphone design and manufacturing to satisfy our carrier customers," said Dr. Soon B. Shin, CEO of AnyDATA. "We are excited to launch a series of groundbreaking smartphone devices that have the wide choice of applications on a Windows Mobile platform at a price targeted to mass market adoption." In addition to Smartphones, AnyDATA provides modems as well as GPS tracking devices and a turnkey tracking service to provide revenue growth for wireless carriers.
