end update

The long awaited Jolla smartphone, based on the Sailfish OS, has been officially announced today.

At the core of Jolla is Sailfish, a mobile-optimized OS that has the flexibility of a unique, open platform. This is the world’s best stage for your apps, including those for Android™.

Simply and intuitively operate the device, entirely with gestures. All of the screen estate is yours, without the need to stretch for the corners or spin the device in your hands.

"We created a simple, beautiful and warm experience, with only glass between you and Sailfish. Content is presented clearly, with animations, haptics and sounds following an overall theme to support user interactions."

"We developed the revolutionary UI around the concept of effortless interaction, designed to offer world’s best multitasking experience."

Using your Jolla is so intuitive, that you can operate your favorite features without even looking at the device.

"We went buttonless, shifting the focus from tapping buttons to using gestures to navigate, all designed to make the device feel truly natural and intuitive. A true next generation experience."

With Jolla, your other half, you have the ultimate freedom to let loose, innovate and individualize your own mobile world.

It is time for a new way of thinking, and with your help, our other half, to create something truly unlike.
