Sunnyvale, Calif. -- "Pandesic, the largest e-commerce application service provider, today announced Flowerfarm.com as its first Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) enabled e-business. For Valentine's Day, Flowerfarm.com customers can order bouquets of freshly cut roses, carnations and other vibrant flowers through their WAP-enabled mobile phones.

"When Flowerfarm wanted to integrate WAP technology in time to serve last-minute Valentine's shoppers, Pandesic enabled that integration. It's part of our evergreen promise," said Patrick Holmes, CTO for Pandesic, the largest provider of e-commerce infrastructure. "This technology will be rolled into the next release of the Pandesic solution and be enabled for all of our 100-plus e-businesses."

"Flowerfarm, located at www.flowerfarm.com, is a global service that delivers fresh-cut flowers and plants to consumers, direct from the grower. It offers the simplicity and convenience of buying flower gifts online and ensures the availability of a variety of flowers by flying in a wide selection of fresh flowers and plants daily from farms all over the world to the company's various design centers.

"Pandesic obtained development tools and WAP design expertise from Phone.com, a leading provider of software and services that enable the delivery of Internet-based information services to mass-market wireless telephones. Flowerfarm.com customers with Bell Atlantic mobile phones will find the WAP-enabled site from their phones.

"E-commerce is more than just selling online, it's about offering products to anyone from anywhere using any device," said Harold Hughes, CEO of Pandesic. "Customers of Flowerfarm.com can now order Valentine's Day flowers with a mouse or a wireless phone and have the certainty they will receive the freshest flowers in the shortest time possible."

"At Pandesic, each e-business runs across a fully optimized e-commerce platform that incorporates hardware, software, management, support, evergreen upgrades, hosting and key partnerships. The Pandesic(R) E-business Solution enables access to real-time inventory availability, a variety of payment options, real-time shipping status, access to order history and other mission critical aspects that contribute to the certainty and reliability of online shopping.
