"Japan Online Securities Inc. launched its stock trading service tailored for NTT DoCoMo Inc's i-mode phones."The new service, called "kabu.com for i-mode ," enables users to trade stock and to see the stock board using their Internet-capable i-mode mobile phones. As it is registered under i-mode's official menu, users can be guided from i-mode's menu screen under the category of "credit card/brokerage/insurance."
"Japan Online Securities is the fifth company which is registered under the category in the i-mode official menu, following Nomura Securities., Co., Ltd., Daiwa Securities Co., Ltd., Nikko Securities Co., Ltd. and DLJdirect SFG Securities Inc.
"Customers who have an account with Japan Online Securities can trade stocks by their i-mode phone for three types of orders: market orders without limit, limited orders and making market orders when limited orders are not concluded. In addition, the service features the latest specified stock prices that customers registered in advance, and a mail-alert function when the limited price is reached. It also allows customers trade money market funds as well as stocks.
"Furthermore, kobu.com for i-mode provides information of Nikkei stock averages, TOPIX and exchanges using graphs in addition to stock prices with a 20-minute delay for customers without accounts with Japan Online Securities. It also prepares a portfolio function which shows gains/losses for specific stocks users pre-register.
