Java WAP Microbrowser Available
Posted: 25-Jan-2001 [Source: Digital Airways]

[Java WAP microbrowser, Wapaka, works like the browser on your mobile phone.]

"Wapaka is a WAP micro-browser for the Web (Java applet) that offers a complete access to a WAP application. With Wapaka, you can offer a demo of your WAP services from your Web site, without a single line of programming. Because Wapaka is a browser, and not an emulator, your demo is just the real thing, in real time: it does not reproduce the limitations of specific devices. On the technical side, Wapaka is extremely easy to include: it is a Java applet, and it only requires a few minutes' work for the Webmaster. For the end-user, Wapaka is transparent : it is very light (less than 100Kb) and hence is loaded immediately. It is also very fast.
