NTT Docomo to Introduce Dual-Band Handsets-Nikkei

Tokyo -- - Faced with increasingly crowded networks, Japan's top mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo (news - web sites) Inc, will sell new dual-band cell phones from 2002 to cope with brisk subscriber growth, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun said on Thursday.

DoCoMo's cell phone services, which at peak times have trouble connecting or lose sound quality, are fast approaching a limit in the capacity of network as its popular ``i-mode'' Internet-access services draws users -- 23.4 million at last count.
