[KDDI's new services include ezmovie and eznavigation.]

Tokyo -- "KDDI Corp. and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Co. have launched the next-generation services for their EZweb browser cellular phone system on Dec. 1.

"The new services are ezmovie, which distributes motion pictures to cellular phones, and eznavigation, which provides positioning information using global positioning system (GPS) technology.

"The two companies had disclosed technical information on these next-generation services on Nov. 30, in an attempt to promote development of content compatible with the next-generation services by general users. At the same time, they started to distribute a software tool to create ezmovie-compatible animation data for free.
